Tempo

Tempo is a 100% food grade, citric acid retarder used in conjunction with our In-Situ Running Render System. Without adding Tempo the render will set in somewhere around 90-120 seconds, temperature dependant.

Gauging Tempo should be done using the cap of the bottle; a common dose would be 5 capfuls per 25Kg bag of render, we do not recommend more than 10 capfuls per bag of render. Tempo should be added to the mixing water and allowed to dissolve before use.

Gauging your water

1. Select your desired working time depending on the application required.

2. Always gauge your water not the material itself.  We recommend adding 2 cap fulls of Tempo retarder to a full standard bucket of clean water as a starting gauge. (The Tempo bottle cap has an inner measuring cup within it) Test the strength of the gauge by mixing a small amount in a pot/rubber bowl and note the working time. Adjust the Tempo until a comfortable work time is achieved.
