Traditional Lime Plaster – Base Coat
A traditional coarse lime putty base coat plaster for the first coat of three-coat lime plaster work. Made with mature lime putty, selected aggregates and fibres for traditional masonry, timber laths and historic building conservation.

Base Coat is the first and coarsest coat in a traditional lime plaster system. It establishes the initial plaster thickness and provides a strong, keyed background for subsequent coats.

Why lime putty plaster
Traditional lime putty plaster is vapour permeable, flexible and compatible with traditional solid-wall construction. This makes it particularly suitable for older buildings where moisture needs to move through the building fabric.
